Indiana Ranks No. 18 in Learfield Cup Standings

CLEVELAND - The Indiana Department of Athletics ranks No. 18 after the fall season in the Division I Learfield Sports Directors' Cup, earning a total of 193.5 points.
Men's cross country led the way for the Hoosiers, finishing 8th at the 2013 NCAA Championships earning 70.5 points. Women's cross country picked up 48 points after finishing 26th at NCAA's. Women's Soccer earned 50 points for trip to the Sweet Sixteen, while men's soccer earned 25 points.
The Learfield Sports Directors' Cup was developed as a joint effort between the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) and USA Today. Points are awarded based on each institution's finish in up to 20 sports -- 10 women's and 10 men's.
The final Division I fall standings will be released Thursday, January 9, 2014. Please note, standings published midseason are unofficial.
