No. 11 Indiana Cruises Past Dollard Des Ormeaux

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - No. 11 Indiana opened their first home match of the season with an impressive 16-5 victory over the Canadian club team Dolland Des Ormeaux at the Councilman-Billingsley Aquatic Center in Bloomington, Ind. Ten different Hoosiers scored goals and eight tallied assists in the exhibition match. Shelby Taylor scored the first goal in exactly 31 seconds, setting the pace for the rest of the match. Taylor finished with three goals and an assist.
Junior attacker Meghan Lappan also had an impressive showing. She scored three goals on three shots in the second quarter alone, tying her career high.
Freshman Hallie Lindsey scored the first goal of her colligate career. Juniors Shae Fournier and Amanda Redfern had two goals each, and Summer Creighton, Devon Peterson, Alexis Jones, Rebecca Gerrity, and Candyce Schroeder all had one.
Indiana's goal keepers were once again impressive. Starter Jessica Gaudreault had six saves and zero goals allowed at halftime, while freshman Mary Campbell had a new career high of six saves in the second half.
The Hoosiers will take on No. 10 Long Beach State at 7:20 pm EST tonight at the Counciman-Billingsley Aquatic Center at the SRSC in Bloomington.
