Hoosiers Off to Good Start in Texas

AUSTIN, Texas - Indiana track and field got things going on day one at the Texas Relays. Courtney Woodard is on pace to set a career best after the first day of the heptathlon, and Dylan Anderson and Stephen Keller are five events into their first career decathlons.
Woodard is in seventh place with a score of 3,238 points through four events. She opened the day with a career best in the 100 hurdles of 14.43 seconds. Woodard added a high jump of 1.60m (5-3), which is a heptathlon best, and an outdoor PR of 12.77m (41-10.75) in the shot put, which was the best among all competitors. She finished her day with a time of 25.16 seconds in the 200m, just .05 off her career best.
Anderson is in 16th with 3,555 points and Keller is in 19th with 3,400 points, as the two freshmen make their decathlon debuts. Keller posted the second-best mark amongst all competitors in the high jump, clearing 2.02m (6-7.5), and Anderson was fifth in the high jump, clearing 1.93m (6-4).
