Indiana men's tennis (6-7) plays the third of seven-straight matches away from Bloomington on Wednesday, squaring off with the Cardinals of Louisville (8-7). IU broke a losing streak to the Cardinals with a 4-2 win in the NCAA Tournament last season. The Hoosiers will play the 42nd-ranked Cardinals at 4 p.m. ET at the Bass-Ruud Tennis Center.
The Hoosiers will look to shake off a pair of road losses in their last two matches (at Vanderbilt and at Harvard) to get back in the win column. The 68th-ranked Hoosiers are led by senior Josh MacTaggart who has won seven-straight singles matches, as well as number one doubles tandem Isade Juneau and Sam Monette, who are ranked 25th nationally in this week's ITA rankings, riding a 9-0 record as doubles partners in dual-meet action this year.
Just like the Hoosiers, U of L is coming off a 4-3 loss at Harvard. The Cardinals are 1-3 against Big Ten foes this season, with a win over Nebraska and losses at Northwestern and at Minnesota. Louisville's top doubles tandem, Albert Wagner and Alex Gornet, is ranked No. 48 in the most recent ITA rankings, and Sebastian Stiefelmeyer is ranked No. 101 in the ITA singles rankings.
