POMONA, Calif. - Indiana stretches their longest winning streak of the season to five in their 15-4 win over The Redlands in their final game of the Claremont Convergence in Haldeman Pool. The Hoosiers went undefeated for the first time in a tournament all year.
Shelby Taylor once again came right out of the gate, scoring two goals in the first half. Shae Fournier tacked on another to make it 3-0 in favor of Indiana at the end of the first.
Redlands re-adjusted and stuck back at the start of the second, scoring two quick goals on the Hoosier defense. Indiana got their answer from leading scorer Jakie Kohli and Rebecca Gerrity who dropped in two of their own almost immediately after. The Hoosiers led 7-3 at the half.
Several impressive saves from starting goalie Jessica Gaudreault kept The Redlands off the board for the rest of the third quarter, and two saves from Mary Campbell in the fourth sealed the 15-4 Hoosier victory.
Once again Jakie Kohli and Shae Fournier had the hot hand for Indiana and each finished the match with three goals. Fournier also looked impressive on defense stealing the ball away four times.
Carson Nestler, Amanda Redfern, and Rebecca Gerrity each scored two goals apiece for Indiana. The Hoosiers will travel to Riverside, Calif. for their next tournament to compete in the Lancer Invite March 15.
