Indiana hits the road this weekend to play at No. 40 Minnesota (9-9, 5-2) and at No. 75 Wisconsin (10-9, 1-6). The 56th-ranked Hoosiers play the Golden Gophers at 4 p.m. ET on Friday and match up with the Badgers at 2 p.m. ET on Sunday. GopherSports.com will provide live scoring and video of Friday's match, and UWBadgers.com will feature a live blog of Sunday's action.
Indiana freshman Sam Monette has entered the ITA singles rankings this week after winning his last six matches. Monette is 25-5 on the season and is 2-3 against nationally ranked opponents. Monette and senior Isade Juneau are the 21st ranked doubles tandem in the country as well.
Senior Josh MacTaggart tallied with 100th career doubles victory in IU's match against DePauw and is closing in on Jeremy Langer's IU record of 102 doubles wins. MacTaggart broke IU's record career singles wins earlier this season and now has 113.
Minnesota is led by a pair of ranked singles players in No. 45 Rok Bonin and No. 81 Leandro Toledo. The Gophers are hot, winning five their last six matches, but in their last outing fell 7-0 to Ohio State. Minnesota started the season with a very tough schedule and started the season 4-8. IU will look to avenge a 4-3 loss to the Gophers a season ago.
Wisconsin started the season with 12 consecutive home contests, sprinting to a 10-2 record, including a win over Minnesota, but things haven't been rosy since then, as the Badgers have lost seven straight. The Hoosiers have won the yearly meeting with Wisconsin the past two seasons and will look to keep that streak alive this weekend.
