BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - On the strength of Luke Harrison's 5.1 innings of shutout relief, the 17th-ranked Hoosiers tallied their fourth straight win. The sophomore yielded just three baserunners while striking out four Eastern Kentucky batters to earn his fourth win. Indiana Baseball improved to 30-8 on the season with the 5-2 victory over the Colonels (14-24).

Ryan Halstead closed out the ballgame, picking up the 18th save of his career. The all-time school record is currently held by Chris Squires (2007-10) with 20 saves.

Justin Cureton, Dustin DeMuth and Kyle Schwarber each stroked a pair of hits. Both of Cureton's base knocks drove in runs while DeMuth's double to the wall in the fifth inning and Schwarber's homer in the first also brought home a tally. Schwarber clubbed the very first pitch he saw, clearing the center field wall for his Big Ten-leading eighth long-ball. He came around to score for a second time on Sam Travis' RBI-double in the seventh stanza. The Hoosiers scored a lone run in five different frames.

Cureton's second run-scoring hit pushed Indiana back ahead, 3-2, after EKU temporarily evened the game at two runs apiece in the third. `JC' made them pay for committing a defensive error, plating Nick Ramos on a two-out RBI.

Back-to-back two-baggers by Michael Basil and DeMuth then made it 4-2 in following frame. Schwarber and Travis combined subsequent doubles as well in the seventh for run number five.

Bart Kaufman Field hosts another game on Wednesday, a 6:05 pm contest between the Cream and Crimson and Indiana State (17-17).
