ABOUT THE TOURNAMENT
The Big Ten Championships will take place this weekend at the Pete Dye Course in French Lick, Ind. On Friday, the teams will play 36 holes followed by 18 holes on Saturday and Sunday. Indiana will tee off at 8:40 a.m. on hole No. 1 on Friday.
The Hoosiers will be the No. 4 seed in the tournament, using the Golfstat rankings released on Wednesday, April 24.
Last year, the Hoosiers finished second at the Big Ten Championships, falling to Illinois by three strokes. David Mills posted rounds of 76-73-72-71 (292) to finish in fourth place and was named to the All-Championship team while also receiving First Team All-Big Ten honors.

HOOSIERS IN THE RANKINGS
Indiana enters this weekend's tournament ranked No. 59 in the Golfweek/Sagarin rankings. In the Golfstat rankings, the Hoosiers checked in at No. 67 this week.
LAST TIME OUT
The last time IU took to the course, Indiana finished in a tie for sixth place at the Boilermaker Invitational at the Kampen Course in West Lafayette, Ind., logging rounds of 297-295-297 (889) as a team.
Individually, Michael McGee posted a three round score of 218 (+2), which was good for a T9 finish. David Mills also broke into the top 20 with a score of 220 (71-73-76) to tie for 15th.
WINNING WAYS
Indiana has claimed three tournament championships this season, it's most in a single season since picking up four victories during the 2010-11 season. The Hoosiers won their first tournament of the season at the Northern Intercollegiate and then posted wins during the spring at the Mission Inn Spring Spectacular and the NYX Hoosier Invitational.
Brant Peaper has posted the only individual win of the year for the Hoosiers, claiming medalist honors at the Wolf Run Intercollegiate at Wolf Run Golf Club in Zionsville, Ind. He carded rounds of 65-70-67 to finish 11-under par for the tournament.
MAYER WINS NO. 26
Indian head coach Mike Mayer is in his 15th season at Indiana, and with the Hoosiers victory at the NYX Hoosier Invitational on April 21 of this year, it marked the 26th tournament victory in Mayer's career. Indiana has won at least two tournaments in each of the last eight seasons and nine of the last 10 years.
B1G EXPERIENCE
Three players in the lineup this weekend for IU will be making at least their third appearance at the Big Ten Championships. Brant Peaper and Corey Ziedonis will be making their fourth appearance while David Mills will be making his third start in the event.

BIG TEN GOLFER OF THE WEEK
For his performance at the NYX Hoosier Invitational, Andrew Fogg was named Big Ten Golfer of the Week by the conference. It was his first weekly award from the Big Ten and the fourth time this year that an IU golfer has received the award (Peaper - twice, McGee - once).
