BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Aulani Sinclair, a 2013 graduate of the Indiana women's basketball team, will travel to China with the USA Women's All-Star Team organized and coached by NetScouts Basketball. She will leave with the team on June 13 and return on July 1.
The team will play in the "Four Nations" tournament as well as two other exhibition contests for a total of 11 games. The tournament will feature the Chinese National "B" team, the Australia Rising Opals and the National team of Hungary. The tourney will be a round-robin format in three cities for a total of nine games starting with six contests in the Jiangxi Province followed by three games in Changshu, in the Jiangsu Province. Then the team will wrap up the tour in Beijing by playing two contests against the China U19 National Team.
"This Tour is a wonderful opportunity for Aulani," head coach Curt Miller said. "She had a great senior year and earned the right to be included on this outstanding team that will tour China. There is no doubt that this experience will continue to open doors for Aulani's professional playing career."
Sinclair ended her Hoosier career as one of the best shooters in program history. During her senior campaign, Sinclair set a program record for most 3-point field goals made in a single season (72) and graduated as the school's all-time leader in career 3-point field goal percentage as she shot 37.3 percent from beyond the arc in her four seasons. She also sits third on the all-time career list at Indiana for 3-point makes with 183.
The Eminence, Ind., native led the Hoosiers in scoring in 2012-13 with 15.5 points per game and earned Honorable Mention All-Big Ten recognition. Sinclair polished off her college career by winning the State Farm 3-Point Championship in Atlanta, Ga., during the week of the Final Four.
