Juneau Wins First Round Match at World University Games

KAZAN, Russia - Indiana's Isade Juneau opened play at the World University Games on Tuesday, taking a 6-0, 6-2 victory over Thesly Mufunda of Zimbabwe in second round action. Juneau will play Ray Sarmiento of the United States (Univ. of Southern California) in the third round at 9 a.m. local time (1 a.m. ET).
Juneau had 20 winners, three aces and only nine unforced errors in the match, outscoring Mufunda 54 to 26 in the match. In the first set, Juneau only allowed Mufunda to score eight points. Juneau won 25 of 30 points on his first serve.
