Murphy Advances to Platform Final

IOWA CITY, Iowa - Indiana University senior diver Conor Murphy advanced to the final round of the men's 10-meter platform competition on day three of the AT&T National Diving Championships in Iowa City, Iowa.
Murphy tallied 392.25 points in the semifinal round to finish fifth and earn one of 12 spots in Sunday's final. Earlier in the day Murphy placed eighth in the quarterfinal round with a score of 347.85.
Recent graduate Casey Johnson was 14th in the semifinal round with a score of 292.85 but did not advanced to the final. Junior Danton Rogers just missed the cut for the final, placing 13th with 296.95 points. In prelims Johnson was seventh (352.45) and Rogers 16th (237.00).
The meet continues through Sunday with Friday's competition featuring preliminaries in all four synchronized diving events.
