BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The Indiana volleyball team is set to battle No. 22 Ohio State (Friday, 7:00 p.m.) and No. 7 Penn State (Saturday, 7:00 p.m.) at University Gym this weekend.
The Hoosiers (12-6, 3-3) play five of their next six matches against teams currently ranked in the American Volleyball Coach Association top-25 poll. The Big Ten currently has seven teams in the top-25 and two additional teams receiving votes.
PROMOTIONS FOR THIS WEEKEND
On Friday vs. Ohio State, its 90's night as the Hoosiers will give away IU scrunchies and have a 90's themed photo booth that fans can take pictures at. There will be plenty of 90's tuned played all evening. On Saturday vs. Penn State, it's a Red Out, so be sure to wear Red to support your Hoosiers. Also on Friday there will be a bus to take students to and from the match starting at 6PM. For details on the route, click here.

40TH SEASON OF IU VOLLEYBALL
This year is a special one, as the team will celebrate the 40th season of Indiana Volleyball. This past weekend was a great celebration as the Hoosiers welcomed over 100 alumni, family and friends, including the first head coach in program history, Ann Lawver. NWAEZE EARNS #B1G DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Junior middle blocker Awele Nwaeze was selected as the Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week, announced by the conference on Monday Oct 6. Nwaeze tallied nine blocks in each of the Hoosiers wins against Maryland and Rutgers and registered 2.6 blocks per set for the week. Nwaeze leads the Big Ten in blocks for conference matches at 1.57 blocks/set.
HOOSIERS IN THE NCAA/BIG TEN RANKINGS
Sophomore Taylor Lebo ranks seventh in the NCAA and second in the Big Ten in service aces, while fellow sophomore Megan Tallman ranks 29th in the NCAA and fourth in the Big Ten in assists.
LEACH ON THE ATTACK
Senior Morgan Leach is off to a good start in her last season at Indiana. Leach is second on the team in kills with 184 kills on the season and is leading the team in hitting percentage at .250. Leach has 990 kills for her career and would be the 17th IU player to reach 1,000 kills.
TALLMAN CLIMBING THE RECORD BOOKS
Sophomore Megan Tallman recorded her 1,000th career assist in the Hoosiers match vs. UIC on Sept. 12 and continues to climb the record books. Tallman is currently 10th on the IU career assist list with 1,451. Tallman already has 726 assists this season, compared to 689 all of last season. Tallman needs 19 assists to move into ninth on the all-time list.

In addition to special features and Q and A's with coaches and student-athletes there will be two regular shows all season long. The first is Inside IU Volleyball with head coach Sherry Dunbar-Kruzan. Hosted by the voice of IU Volleyball, Sean Nash this show will recap past matches, preview upcoming matches and add special features as well. Also sophomore Jazzmine McDonald will have a weekly video blog called "Smooth Jazz", where she gives an inside look into the program from the perspective of a student-athlete.
