Hoosiers Wrap Up Competition at ITA Regional

FINAL RESULTS
Juniors Daniel Bednarczyk and Sam Monette advanced to the semi-finals at the ITA Regional Tournament in Nashville, Tenn.
After a first round bye, the duo won by scores of 8-7, 8-6 and 8-0 in the quarterfinals over Davis/Zito from MTSU to set up a match with Simich/Wagner from Louisville. Monette and Bednarczyk fought hard but fell by a final score of 6-7(6) 7-6(5), 10-3.
In singles Monette advanced to the round of 16 with a 6-7(5) 6-4, 6-2 win over Charles Minc of Kentucky. After winning the first set in the round of 16 against Kris Yee from Vanderbilt, Monette dropped the next two sets, 5-7, 2-6.
Also winning matches for the Hoosiers were Chris Essick and freshman Raheel Manji.
