BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The Indiana volleyball team is set to battle No. 10 Illinois (Friday, 8:00 p.m. ET) and Northwestern (Saturday, 8:00 p.m. ET) on the road this weekend.
The Hoosiers (12-8, 3-5) play three of their next four matches against teams currently ranked in the American Volleyball Coach Association top-25 poll. The Big Ten currently has seven teams in the top-25.

LEACH JOINS 1,000 KILL CLUB
On Friday Oct. 17 against Ohio State, senior Morgan Leach recorded her 1,000th career kill to become the 17th IU Volleyball player to join to 1,000 kill club. Leach had 12 kills in the match and now has 200 for the season and 1,006 for her career. Leach is second on the team in kills this season and second in hitting percentage at .248.
TALLMAN CLIMBING THE RECORD BOOKS
Sophomore Megan Tallman recorded her 1,000th career assist in the Hoosiers match vs. UIC on Sept. 12 and continues to climb the record books. On Friday against Ohio State, Tallman moved into ninth on the IU career assist list and now has 820 for the season and 1,509 for her career. Tallman leads the Big Ten in total assists and is 38th in the NCAA in assists per set at 10.93.
NWAEZE EARNS #B1G DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Junior middle blocker Awele Nwaeze was selected as the Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week, announced by the conference on Monday Oct 6. Nwaeze tallied nine blocks in each of the Hoosiers wins against Maryland and Rutgers and registered 2.6 blocks per set for the week. Nwaeze is fourth in the Big Ten in blocks with 82.
HOOSIERS IN THE NCAA/BIG TEN RANKINGS
Sophomore Taylor Lebo ranks 11th in the NCAA and second in the Big Ten in service aces, while fellow sophomore Megan Tallman ranks 38th in the NCAA in assists per set at 10.93 assists/set and leads the Big Ten in total assists with 820.

Also sophomore Jazzmine McDonald will have a weekly video blog called “Smooth Jazz”, where she gives an inside look into the program from the perspective of a student-athlete.
