BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -- The Indiana women’s tennis team will host the Hoosier Classic, the program’s annual fall tournament, on Oct. 24-26 at the IU Varsity Tennis Courts. The Hoosiers will welcome players from six other schools as play will begin on Friday at 11 a.m. ET.
IU will welcome competitors from Cincinnati, DePaul, Middle Tennessee State, Missouri, Morehead State and Western Michigan to Bloomington this weekend. Four Indiana players will be participating including Sarah Baron, Paula Gutierrez, Mary Beth King and Kim Schmider.
Play will begin on Friday and Saturday at 11 a.m. and then on Sunday at 10:30 a.m. There will be four singles draws of eight players and one main doubles draw with 14 tandems competing.
This weekend’s tournament will be the only time to catch IU in Bloomington during the fall schedule. The Hoosiers will wrap up the fall slate at Western Michigan in November for the team’s final tournament until play resumes in January.
