Day Two of Hoosier Classic Complete

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -- Day two of the 2014 Hoosier Classic brought Indiana women’s tennis three singles victories and a pair of doubles wins on Saturday at the IU Varsity Tennis Courts.
Indiana’s Paula Gutierrez earned her way into the finals of the Red Singles Draw with a 7-6 (4), 6-7 (6), 10-4 triumph over Cincinnati’s Katya Bure. Sarah Baron won in straight sets against Hannah Wille of UC, 6-4, 6-0. She will play in the finals of the Indiana Draw.
Mary Beth King was also victorious for the Hoosiers and she’ll play for the Hoosier Draw title on Sunday. King downed Morehead State’s Hayley Wild, 6-3, 6-3.
In doubles, Gutierrez and King teamed together to defeat Cincinnati’s Wille and Samantha Perry, 8-2. Schmider and Baron also picked up a win over MSU’s Dominique-Chante Mclean and Ayaka Terashi.
Day three will get started on Sunday at 10:30 a.m. ET.
