BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The Indiana women’s tennis team concluded the 2014 Hoosier Classic on Sunday with a final round of singles play at the IU Varsity Tennis Courts. IU freshman Sarah Baron won the Indiana Singles Draw to end her weekend with a perfect 3-0 record.
For the weekend, the Hoosier went 9-3 as a team in singles play and was 4-4 in doubles action.
Baron defeated Morehead State’s Alex Tachovsky in the finale of the Indiana Draw after dropping the first set and rebounding to take the win, 4-6, 6-1, 10-8.
Indiana’s other victory came from sophomore Kim Schmider. Schmider made quick work of Cincinnati’s Katya Bure, 6-3, 6-1.
