BOULDER CITY, Nev. -- The Indiana women's golf team carded a 307 Monday and is tied for 11th after two rounds of the Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown, being held at the Boulder Creek Golf Club in Boulder City, Nevada.
San Diego State leads the field with a 1-under 575, with UC Riverside (582), UNLV (584), Minnesota (585) and San Jose State (589) making up the top five. Indiana is 12 strokes out of the top five with a 36-hole total of 601.
Final-round play begins tomorrow at 10 a.m. ET for Indiana. Live results can be found at BirdieFire.com.
Junior Maria Mancini posted the low round of the day for IU with a 2-over 74 and moved up to a tie for 66th with a score of 154 (80-74). Mancini posted four birdies in the round, which is a tournament best for the Hoosiers. Senior Elizabeth Tong cut two strokes off her score from the first round with a 3-over 74 and is tied for 49th (77-75/152).
Freshman Alix Kong is also tied for 49th with an 80 on Monday (72-80/149). Sophomore Theresa-Ann Jedra is tied for 81st after posting an 83 in round two (74-83/157).
Still leading the way for Indiana is sophomore Ana Sanjuan as she is currently tied for 29th in the field. Sanjuan posted a 6-over 78 on Monday for a stroke tally of 149 over 36 holes (71-78).
