Bloomington, Indiana - Sophomore Devin Davis, Jr., begins his second year with the Hoosiers. The Indianapolis native played in all five games in Canada this summer, starting in two. He averaged 8.0 points and led the team with 7.6 rebounds and shot a team-high 77.8 percent from the field.
On the scrimmage on Saturday:
"It's always nice to be able to go out in front of the fans and show what we can do before the games. It's just another chance for us to get better and show people what we're capable of and what we are going to accomplish this year."

"Coach Crean always talks to us about being friends off the court, but he tells us what it's going to take for us to be able to win, and that's competing with each other everyday - not just for starting spots or spots on the floor, but just to make each other better. The things that I've gotten better at is mostly being a leader, being able to talk to the younger guys through everything and going hard all the time."
How much confidence have you gained from the extended minutes you were getting towards the end of last season and how has that carried over into this year?
"I think my confidence went up at the end of the season just because I was out there on the floor and I go out there and be able to hustle as hard as I could, rebounding and getting guys open."
What advantage do you like to utilize inside?
"Well, I'm undersized for the position that I'm playing but the advantage that I have is speed and quickness and being able to bring the other defenders in and kick the ball out."
