QUOTABLE
"We have to see everybody. I played a lot of guys tonight. We played a lot of freshmen. Their eyes are wide open. That's the nice thing about playing this game and the exhibition. We learned a lot tonight. The goal is, we have to improve by the time we play Xavier at the end of February. That's our goal is to get better."
-Head coach Chris Lemonis on gaining experience in the exhibition
"I felt comfortable at the plate. I think I saw the ball well. Just like everyone, I could've done more. I have a lot to work on and I think everyone else does (as well)."
-RS-Senior OF Scott Donley on his individual performance
"It's nice to see friends that I've had for a couple years coming back. To have a pitching staff like this with bunch of juniors and seniors, it's going to be great. I'm really excited. Obviously, we have to work on some things as you saw tonight as a team and as a staff. I think once we get it clicking, Coach Bunn will help us out with that and I think we'll be really good this year."
-Junior pitcher Scott Effross on the pitching staff
"He's that hitter that can do it all. He doesn't strike out a lot. He can get a hit with runners in scoring position, but he's also got some pop too. He's a great 4-hole guy for you. We're lucky to have him. He's going to be a big guy for us."
-Head coach Chris Lemonis on Scott Donley
