• With the win, the Hoosiers now lead the series with the Delta Devils, 2-0.
• The Hoosiers have now won 17 straight season openers and 30 straight home openers.
• Coach Tom Crean is now 15-1 in season openers, including 7-0 at IU.
• The 116 points scored is tied for the fifth most in school history and the most since 1994 (117 vs. Tennessee Tech). It also is the most scored by a team in Tom Crean’s 16 years as a head coach.
• Tonight began a stretch which will see the Hoosiers play five home games in 10 nights.
• James Blackmon, Jr. and Robert Johnson became the 10th and 11th freshmen to start a season opener since Tom Crean took over in 2008-09.
• Junior Hanner Mosquera-Perea and redshirt junior Nick Zeisloft also made their first career starts as Hoosiers.
• Blackmon scored a game-high 25 points. His 25 are the second most for a freshman in his first start at IU (33 by Eric Gordon in 2007 vs. Chatanooga).
• The freshman shot 7-of-10 (70.0 percent) from the field and 8-of-9 (88.8 percent) from the foul stripe.
• Johnson, while shooting 71.4 percent (5-of-7), scored 15 points, had seven rebounds and five assists.
• Junior Kevin Yogi Ferrell had 15 points for the game on 5-of-9 (55.5 percent) and five assists.
• In his first game in an Indiana jersey, Zeisloft scored 16 points and shot 75 percent form the field (6-of-8).
• Mosquera-Perea had career highs in points (9), rebounds (12) and minutes (21).
• Freshman Tim Priller scored two points in nine minutes of play. He added two rebounds, one block and one steal.
• Freshman Max Hoetzel scored 19 points (12 in the second half) and brought down nine rebounds in 19 minutes of play.
• Redshirt junior Ryan Burton put up six points, had six boards and dished out two assists in 13 minutes.
•Freshman Jeremiah April played his first minutes with the Hoosiers. He had two points and two boards in seven minutes of play.
• With 11 three-pointers, Indiana topped last year’s single game-high of 10 against Illinois.
• IU matches its best first half output from a year ago with 54 points. Hoosiers did that a year ago against Samford.
• In the first half Indiana shot 72.4 percent (21-of-29) from the field and 66.7 (6-of-9) from behind the arc.
• The Hoosiers had five players in double figures (Blackmon - 25, Hoetzel - 19, Zeisloft - 16, Johnson - 15, Ferrell - 15).

• IU had just two turnovers in the first 15 minutes of the second half.
• The Hoosiers will return to the court Monday night to face Texas Southern in their first game in the Hoosiers Showcase, which also features SMU, Lamar and Eastern Washington. Eastern Washington defeated Texas Southern, 86-62 earlier Friday.
