• The Hoosiers won their opener of the Hoosiers Showcase which also features SMU, Lamar and Eastern Washington.
• As a team, the Hoosiers shot 5-of-6 (83.3 percent) from behind the arc in the first half and 10-of-15 (66.7 percent) for the game. The Hoosiers also shot 57.1% from the field (32 of 56).
• Through two games, IU is shooting 55.3 percent (21-of-38) from the three-point line and 61.7 percent (71-of-115) from the field.
• Freshman Robert Johnson led all scores in the first half with 17 points. He finished the game with team-high 21 points on 8-of-13 shooting (61.5 percent), five rebounds and six assists.
• Junior Kevin Yogi Ferrell scored 20 points, dished out seven assists and pulled down four rebounds. It was his 11th career 20+point effort.
• Freshman James Blackmon, after only scoring two points in the first half, scored 17 in the second and was 3-of-4 from the three-point line. He finished with 19 points and five boards.
• Junior Hanner Mosquera-Perea has a career high in blocks with five. That marks the first time since 2010 (Tom Pritchard vs. Evansville) that a Hoosier has had five blocks in a game. Mosquera-Perea also scored 12 points and had five rebounds.
• Sophomore Collin Hartman had a career high three blocks. He added four rebounds and three points in 17 minutes. He has made two of three long distance shots in two games after not making a three-pointer as a freshman.
• Redshirt junior Nick Zeisloft made both of his three point attempts and finished with six points. He led the Hoosiers with six rebounds.
• From the 9:16 mark to the 1:25 mark of the first half, Indiana went on a 21-4 run.
• In the first half, Indiana forced Texas Southern into two shot clock violations.
• The Hoosiers had nine blocked shots, which is the most since a year ago to the day against Stony Brook.
• The Hoosiers will return to the court Thursday night to face #22 SMU in their second game in the Hoosiers Showcase. Tip-off is 8 p.m.
