THE OPENING TIP
Indiana hosts Valparaiso in Assembly Hall on Tuesday, Nov. 18. The Hoosiers and Crusaders will tip at 7 p.m. ET. The game can be heard on WHCC 105.1 FM in Bloomington with Greg Murray on the call. The contest can be watched live via web stream on BTN Plus.
DID YOU KNOW?
• Indiana's 115-54 win over Gardner-Webb to begin the 2014-15 season gave Teri Moren her first win as IU's head coach and it was her 200th career win overall in her head coaching career.
• Indiana's 115 points set a school record on Saturday, breaking the previous mark of 110 which was set vs. UAB on March 21, 1991.
• IU's point total against GWU tied for the 10th-most points scored in a single game in Big Ten history and the most points by a conference team since 2008.
• The Hoosiers connected on a program-record 16 3-pointers against Gardner-Webb, breaking the previous record of 13, which was set at Iowa on Feb. 28, 2013. Indiana went 16-of-30 (53.3 percent) from long distance in the game.
• IU's defense collected 18 steals against GWU, tying for the fourth-most in a single game in school history. It is the most steals for Indiana since Dec. 5, 2007 vs. Dayton (18).
• Six Hoosiers scored in double-figures in the season-opening victory including Tyra Buss (18), Taylor Agler (17), Karlee McBride (15), Larryn Brooks (15), Amanda Cahill (15) and Alexis Gassion (11).
• All 115 points scored against Gardner-Webb were by freshmen and sophomores.
• Buss earned Big Ten Freshman of the Week honors after leading all scorers with 18 points to go along with seven steals, five assists, four rebounds and a block in her collegiate debut.
• Against Gardner-Webb, Agler scored 14 points in the game's first 4:40 while going on an 11-0 run by herself. She finished with 17 points in the game, shooting 6-of-7 from the field and 5-of-6 from 3-point range to go along with seven rebounds, four assists and two steals.
• McBride scored a career-high 15 points off the bench and did not miss a shot the entire game, going 6-for-6 overall with three 3-point field goals. She also added five boards, an assist and a block.

VALPARAISO AT A GLANCE
Valparaiso rolled in its season opener against Butler, downing the Bulldogs, 91-57. The Crusaders had five players score in double-figures led by junior guard Abby Dean's 21 points on 9-of-11 shooting. Forward Dani Franklin came off the bench and added 14 points in the win to go along with six rebounds. Sharon Karungi added 12 as Annemarie Hamlet tallied 11 points and Haylee Thompson scored 10. Valpo's bench scored over half the points in the game as the reserves combined for 46 points. The Crusaders scored 58 points in the second half alone. Valparaiso went 6-25 a year ago and defeated IU in the last meeting between the two schools at Valpo, 64-52, on Nov. 9, 2012.
RECORD-SETTING DAY TO OPEN 2014-15 SEASON
Indiana downed Gardner-Webb to begin the 2014-15 season on Nov. 15, 115-54. A number of program single-game records were set, including points scored (115), 3-point field goals made (16) and largest margin of victory against a Division I opponent (+61). IU came out firing, building a 28-2 lead in the game's first 5:38, hitting 11-of-11 from the field, including six 3-point field goals during the run. The Hoosiers connected on 16-of-30 3-point field goals (53.3 percent) and shot 53.5 percent overall for the game.
IU's record point total broke the previous mark of 110 which was set on March 21, 1991 vs. UAB. The previous 3-point field goals made record was set on Feb. 28, 2013, when the Hoosiers hit 13 treys at Iowa. IU defeated Taylor University in 1975 by 76 points, but had never beat a DI opponent by more than 61 points.
SCORING OPTIONS
Six Indiana players scored in double-figures for the Hoosiers in Tyra Buss (18), Taylor Agler (17), Larryn Brooks (15), Amanda Cahill (15), Karlee McBride (15) and Alexis Gassion (11). It marked the first time six IU players scored in double-digits in the same game since Nov. 14, 2008 vs. Ball State.
• In her college debut, Buss led all scorers and also added a game-high seven steals to go along with five assists, four rebounds and a block while shooting 8-of-14 from the field.
• Agler went on an 11-0 run by herself in the first half and ended the game shooting 6-of-7 from the field and 5-of-6 from 3-point range to go along with seven rebounds, four assists and two steals.
• McBride's 15 points were a career high as she did not miss a shot the entire game, going 6-of-6 with three 3-pointers and adding five rebounds, a block and an assist.
• In her first collegiate game, Cahill went 6-of-8 from the field and 2-of-2 from long distance while grabbing seven boards with three assists and two steals.
• Brooks nailed three treys in the game and dished for five assists with three rebounds and two steals.
• Gassion shot 5-of-11 for the game with three boards and two assists.
MOREN GETS FIRST IU WIN AND 200TH CAREER VICTORY
The Hoosiers ushered in the Teri Moren era with a win to give Moren her first win at Indiana and her 200th career head coaching victory. Moren is in her first year as head coach of the Hoosiers. Moren, a native of nearby Seymour, Ind., enters her 12th season as a head coach at the collegiate level. She spent the last four years at the helm of the Indiana State program in Terre Haute and led the Sycamores to a Missouri Valley Conference championship in 2013-14 and the program's first 20-win season in eight years. LOOK OUT FOR STEALERS
Indiana had 18 steals in the season-opening win over Gardner-Webb, the most steals in a game for an IU team since Dec. 5, 2007 vs. Dayton (18). The total tied for the fourth-most steals in a single game in program history. Eight different players collected a steal in the game, including seven from Tyra Buss and four other players with two.
BUSS NAMED BIG TEN FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK
Indiana freshman guard Tyra Buss earned Big Ten Freshman of the Week honors as announced by the conference office on Nov. 17. Buss led all scorers with 18 points in IU's 115-54 season-opening win over Gardner-Webb on Nov. 15. She shot 8-of-14 from the field while leading Indiana with seven steals to go along with five assists, four rebounds and a block.
Buss was one of six Indiana players to score in double-digits as all of Indiana's 115 points in the game were scored by freshmen and sophomores. This is the first conference Freshman of the Week honor for IU since last season when Larryn Brooks earned the award on Jan. 6, 2014.
