BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -- For the fifth straight season, the Indiana men’s cross country team will compete at the NCAA Championships on Saturday, Nov. 22. This year’s meet will take place in Terre Haute, Ind. at the LaVern Gibson Championship Cross Country Course.
This marks the 38th time that the IU men’s program has participated in the NCAA national meet. The men’s 10K race will begin at approximately 1 p.m. ET after the conclusion of the women’s 6K run, which starts at Noon.
The 25th-ranked Hoosier men have finished in the top 10 at NCAAs in three of the last four years with seventh place finishes in 2011, 2012 and 2014. That four-year stretch was the program’s best since 1977-80.
IU finished in fourth place at the Great Lakes Regional meet last week in Wisconsin. The Hoosiers then earned an at-large bid into the national meet.
The race will be streamed live on NCAA.com and live results will also be available there. Follow @IUTrackXC on twitter for coverage during the race on Saturday.
