BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Following a pair of matches at University Gym, the Indiana volleyball team is back on the road for a match on Wednesday Nov. 5 at 8:00 p.m. ET at Iowa.
The Hoosiers (14-10, 5-7) last week secured their first victory against Minnesota since the 2010 season and beat the Golden Gophers on Wednesday in four sets, with a 35-33 victory in set four to claim the match.
WHAT A DIFFERENT A YEAR MAKES
Last year at this point in the season the Hoosiers were 9-15 and 1-11 in conference play. On Wednesday IU beat Minnesota for just the fourth time in the last 14 years. The five Big Ten wins are the most since the 2010 season and equal the combined total from the previous two seasons.
GOING THE DISTANCE
Last season both matches against Iowa came down to five sets with the Hawkeyes winning both. A season ago the Hoosiers were 1-5 in five set matches, but this year the team is 3-1 in those situations.
