Connor Wins 2nd Title at Australian Open

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -- Indiana University freshman diver James Connor won his second national title at the Australian Open Diving Championships, taking the 3-meter title on Saturday in Adelaide, South Australia.

In the 3-meter springboard final Connor topped his competition by more than 45 points, tallying a score of 417.15 in the championship event. Runner-up Kurtis Mathews posted a score of 370.65. Connor won the men's 1-meter event on Friday, scoring 395.05 points.
Connor will be going for the sweep on Sunday, December 14, as he competes in the platform final. He was tops in qualifying with a score of 446.05 in the semifinal round.
