THE OPENING TIP
Indiana will hit the road for the first time in 2014-15 with an ACC/Big Ten Challenge matchup at Boston College on Wednesday, Dec. 3 at 7 p.m. ET inside the Conte Forum. The game can be heard on WHCC 105.1 FM in Bloomington with Greg Murray on the call. A live web broadcast will also be available through Boston College's athletic website, BCEagles.com.
DID YOU KNOW?
• Indiana holds a 4-3 record all-time in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge and has won its challenge game in each of the last two years, most recently defeating Virginia Tech, 71-65, on Dec. 4, 2013 in Assembly Hall.

• Tyra Buss has totaled 27 steals through six games. IU hasn't had a player with more than 36 steals in an entire season since 2010-11. Buss also leads the team in scoring (16.0 ppg) and is tied for team lead in assists (4.2 apg). Her 4.5 steals per game ties her for third nationally.

BOSTON COLLEGE AT A GLANCE
Boston College welcomes Indiana into the Conte Forum on Wednesday night, a place where BC has yet to lose in 2014-15. The Eagles are 2-0 at home so far this year. BC averages 77.0 points per game as a team and is shooting 37.1 percent from 3-point range so far this season with six players scoring 8.0 points or more per game. Kelly Hughes leads Boston College in scoring with 16.7 points per game and paces the team in 3-point field goals made on the year as she shoots 38.8 percent from long distance. She also leads BC in rebounding and assists with 6.8 boards and 4.2 assists per game. Nicole Boudreau tallies 12.5 points and 5.5 rebounds per game and shoots over 40 percent from long distance.

GETTING OFFENSIVE
Through the first six games, Indiana has scored 537 total points and is averaging a Big Ten-leading 89.5 points per game (5th nationally). The 537 points in six games is a program record for scoring over a six-game stretch.
Three times this year IU has scored 97 or more points, marking the first time in program history an Indiana team has tallied 97 or more points three times in the same season. Only five times prior to this year has a Hoosier team scored 90 or more on three occasions in the same year.
In four games this year, IU has had five or more players score in double-figures, including two contests where six players tallied double digits. Prior to this season, the last time Indiana had six players score in double-figures in the same game was Nov. 14, 2008 vs. Ball State.
NATIONAL STATS RANKINGS
As a team, Indiana ranks in the top 35 nationally in nine statistic categories, including ranking in the top 15 in five of those categories All of these totals are based on the latest NCAA statistical rankings which were published on Dec. 1.
• Indiana ranks fifth nationally in scoring (89.5 ppg) and scoring margin (+32.3).
• The Hoosiers are sixth in the country in defensive rebounds per game (33.0).
• IU ranks ninth in the NCAA in assists per game (19.5) and 15th in assist-turnover ratio (1.39)
• Defensively, Indiana ranks 15th in 3-point field goal defense (.218), 23rd in turnover margin (+7.17), 29th in steals (12.3 spg) and 33rd in field goal percentage defense (.341).
Individually, three Hoosiers ranks in the top 40 nationally in different stat categories.
• Freshman Tyra Buss averages 4.5 steals per game.. That total ties her for third nationally in that category.
• Amanda Cahill's three double-doubles so far this season ranks her 22nd in the country for most double-doubles.
• Jenn Anderson's field goal percentage of 59.6 puts her at 36th nationally.
PASSING THE PUMPKIN
In four games this year, IU has had 22 or more assists as a team and are currently averaging 19.5 assists per game to lead the Big Ten (9th nationally). The Hoosiers have not had four games of 20 or more assists in the same season since 2007-08 when IU had four games for 20 or more dimes that year. The Hoosiers had 25 assists in the season opener vs. Gardner-Webb on Nov. 25, which ranks in the top eight for most assists ever in a single game by an IU team. Indiana dished for 23 assists vs. Morehead State on Nov. 21 and 22 assists against Incarnate Word on Nov. 23 and vs. ETSU on Nov. 26.
BEWARE OF STEALERS
IU has had 10 or more steals in five games this season, including 18 steals in each of the first two games of the year, marking the first time in program history an IU team had 18 or more steals in back-to-back games. The 18 steals ties for the fourth-most steals in a single game in program history. Prior to this season, the last time an Indiana team had 18 steals in a game was Dec. 5, 2007 vs. Dayton (18). IU is averaging 12.3 steals per game to rank in the top 30 nationally in that category (29th). The last time an IU team had five games of 10 or more steals in the same year came during the 2011-12 season.
LIMITING FOES
As a team, IU is limiting opponents to shoot just 34.1 percent from the field. Four times this year, the Indiana defense has held opponents to shoot 34.9 percent or lower from the field. By comparison, IU held seven opponents under 34.9 percent shooting last year, and this year IU has accomplished that feat five times.
Indiana's defense has held opponents to shoot 25 percent or less from 3-point range five times this year, including a pair of games of 10 percent of lower. For the year, IU opponents are shooting only 21.8 percent from 3-point range, that total leads the Big Ten in that category.
CLIMBING THE CA-HILL TOP
Freshman Amanda Cahill has recorded three double-doubles so far this year and is averaging 12.0 points and 10.5 rebounds per game for the Hoosiers. The Clyde, Ohio, native is shooting 52.9 percent from the field and is averaging 1.3 steals per game. Against Indiana State on Nov. 30, Cahill led IU with 13 points and 18 rebounds. Her rebounding total tied for the third most ever by an Indiana freshman in a single game. Her other double-double performances came against Morehead State on Nov. 21 (11 points, 14 rebounds) and vs. Incarnate Word on Nov. 23 (12 points, 10 rebounds). Cahill has scored in double-figures in five of Indiana's six games and has collected 10 or more rebounds in four contests.
THE BUSS IS ROLLING
Freshman Tyra Buss has scored in double-figures in every game this season and currently leads the team in scoring (16.0 ppg) and steals (4.5 spg), while tying for the team lead in assists (4.2 apg) to go along with 4.2 rebounds per game. Her 4.5 steals per game ties her for third in the NCAA. Buss has had three or more steals in five games and has totaled 27 steals so far this year. IU has not had a player with more than 36 steals in an entire season since 2010-11 (Jori Davis, 52).
Twice this year, Buss has earned Big Ten Freshman of the Week honors (Nov. 17, Nov. 24). She became the first IU player to ever receive Big Ten Freshman of the Week honors on consecutive occasions and the second Hoosier to earn the award twice in the same season (Larryn Brooks, 2013-14). Buss became the first Indiana player to earn conference weekly laurels in back-to-back weeks since Cyndi Valentin was named Big Ten Player of the Week two straight times in 2005-06.
BROOKS IS BACK
Indiana sophomore Larryn Brooks is starting right where she left off last season. Brooks scored a game-high 21 points in the win over ETSU on Nov. 26, shooting 8-of-13 from the field and 4-of-7 from 3-point range to go along with six assists, three boards and a steal. She's averaging 12.8 points, 4.2 assists (tied for team lead), 3.5 rebounds and 2.0 steals per game while shooting 41.2 percent from long distance so far in 2014-15.
Brooks had one of the most productive seasons by any freshman in the history of the program last year. She broke the IU freshman scoring record, tallying 554 points (7th on school single season list), breaking a 34-year-old freshman record held by Dorothy Reffel who scored 454 points in 1979-80. She was the first freshman in program history to ever eclipse 500 points in a season. Brooks also set freshman marks for 3-pointers made with 67 (T-4th), assists with 154 (3rd) and free throws made with 129. Brooks led the Hoosiers in scoring (16.3 ppg), field goals made (179), 3-point field goals made, 3-point field goal percentage (.379), free throws made, free throw percentage (.832) and assists.
Brooks earned Second Team All-Big Ten and Big Ten All-Freshman Team honors last season. She was the first Hoosier to earn second team all-conference honors since 2011 (Jori Davis) and just the fifth freshman ever at IU to be named to the conference's all-freshman squad and the first since 2006 (Whitney Thomas).
JENN BECOMING A GEM
Sophomore Jenn Anderson has started in each of IU's first six games and has made her presence known so far in 2014-15. Anderson is averaging 13.2 points, 5.3 rebounds and 1.2 blocks per game while shooting 59.6 percent from the field (2nd in B1G). She has scored in double-figures in four games this year, including a career-high 21 points against Incarnate Word, shooting 8-of-11 from the field with four boards and a block. Against ETSU on Nov. 26, Anderson went 8-of-9 from the field for 16 points.
MICROWAVE MCBRIDE
Sophomore Karlee McBride has helped ignite the offense this season and is IU's leading scorer off the bench in 2014-15. She is averaging 9.0 points per game while shooting 54.3 percent from the field and 44.4 percent from 3-point range. McBride has scored in double-figures three times this year, including a pair of games where she tallied a career-high 15 points (Morehead State and Gardner-Webb).
