Indiana Team Notes |
• As a team, IU shot 54.7 percent from the field (29-of-53). This is the seventh time this season that the Hoosiers have shot 50 percent or better.
• The Privateers shot 7.7 percent from behind the arc. This is the best defensive three-point percentage by the Hoosiers since Ohio State went 0-of-11 last season (3/2/14).
• This marks the sixth time this season that Indiana has held opponents under 40.0 percent from the field. UNO shot 27-of-68 for 39.7 percent.
• Over the last three games, Indiana opponents are shooting 6-of-45 (13.3 percent) from three-point range.
• Indiana ended the first stanza on an 18-0 run. The Privateers did not score in the final 6:05 of the half.
• Kevin Yogi Ferrell scored a team-high 17 points on 5-of-7 shooting (71.4 percent). This bring his career total to 1,020. This passes Jared Jefferies for 47th on the all-time IU scoring list.
• The junior extends his streak of consecutive games with at least one made three pointer to 43.
• Ferrell added to his all-around game with four assists and two steals.
• Hanner Mosquera-Perea scored a career-high tying 12 points (Texas Southern). The junior also pulled down six rebounds and added four blocks for the second straight game.
• Mosquera-Perea now has 20 blocks on the season, after entering the year with 18 in his first two seasons.
• Freshman James Blackmon, Jr. scored 14 points and shot 54.5 percent from the field. This is his 11th game this season in double-figures.
• Sophomore Collin Hartman tied his career high in rebounds with seven (Pittsburgh). He added six points, one assist and one steal.
• Reigning Big Ten Co-Player of the Week Troy Williams finished with eight points, six rebounds and three assists in 25 minutes.
• Freshman Emmitt Holt put up eight points, grabbed two rebounds and ties a career high with two blocks.
• Sophomore Stanford Robinson scored three points, had three assists and pulled down two rebounds in 11 minutes.
• Freshman Robert Johnson made a pair of three pointers. Johnson finished with eight points and three rebounds in 16 minutes.
• The Hoosiers will be back at Madison Square Garden for the second time this season to take on Georgetown in the Indeed Invitational on Saturday, December 27, at noon.
