• With the victory, this is the first time that Indiana has won at Nebraska since 1942 when the Hoosiers won 40-39. Indiana is now 10-4 all-time against Nebraska.
• The last time Indiana won a Big Ten opener on the road was Dec. 31, 2012, in a 69-65 victory at Iowa.
• The Hoosiers held Nebraska to 37.5 percent (12-of-32) shooting from the field in the first half. This marks the 12th time that Indiana has held an opponent under 40 percent shooting in a half this season.
• Freshman Robert Johnson led the way for the Hoosiers with 14 points. Johnson did so shooting 5-of-9 (55.6 percent) from the field and 3-of-6 (50 percent) from behind the arc.
• Sophomore Troy Williams scored 13 points and pulled down six rebounds.
• Hanner Mosquera-Perea recorded his first career double-double, scoring 12 points and grabbing 10 rebounds. He also recorded an assist and a steal in only 22 minutes of play.
• Freshman James Blackmon, Jr. scored eight points, had eight rebounds and one assist.
• Kevin Yogi Ferrell scored five points, pulled down five boards and dished out eight assists. He now has 1,052 career points and remains in 45th place all-time at Indiana.
• Ferrell also connected on a 3-point field goal, extending his streak to 45 straight games with at least one made 3-point field goal.
• Sophomore Stanford Robinson scored six points and pulled down one rebound in only eight minutes.
• Freshman Emmitt Holt scored six points and had four rebounds in 13 minutes on the court.
• Collin Hartman had four rebounds, one assist and one block for the Hoosiers in 16 minutes.
• Indiana plays next against Michigan State in East Lansing, Mich. on Jan. 5 (7 pm).
