No. 37 Indiana Hosts No. 8 Northwestern on Thursday

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The No. 37 Indiana women's tennis team will welcome No. 8 Northwestern to the IU Tennis Center on Thursday, Feb. 20. It will be IU's Big Ten opener as the match is set to begin at 4 p.m. ET.
Northwestern sits at 5-3 on the year with all eight of its matches having been against top 30 opponents. The Wildcats have five players ranked nationally in the ITA Singles Rankings led by No. 30 Veronica Corning. Other players ranked include Belinda Niu (No. 58), Jillian Rooney (No. 92), Maddie Lipp (No. 104) and Lok Sze Leung (No. 109).
Two NU doubles tandems are ranked nationally in the duo of Corning and Alicia Barnett at No. 25 along with Nida Hamilton and Brooke Rischbieth at No. 57.
Indiana improved to 7-1 with its win over then-No. 38 Kentucky on Sunday. The Hoosiers have yet to lose at home this year.
After hosting Northwestern, IU will welcome No. 27 Tennessee to Bloomington on Sunday at 11 a.m. and then Ball State at 4 p.m.
