PEORIA, Ariz. - The Indiana University women's golf team is currently in fifth place after 36 holes of the Westbrook Invitational at the Westbrook Village Golf Club in Peoria, Ariz.
The Hoosiers posted rounds of 287 and 292 for a 3-over total of 579. Oregon has raced out to the lead with a 553, followed by Ohio State (559),College of Charleston (571) and Wisconsin (574) joining Indiana in the top five.
Junior Elizabeth Tong is currently tied for sixth after posting rounds of 71 and 70 for a 3-under 141. Sophomore Maria Mancini opened play with a career-best score of 68, and followed with a 76 to sit tied for 18th at even par (144).
Sophomore Marissa DeCola is tied for 36th in the field, opening the day with a 75 before coming back to shoot par with a 72 and a two-round score of 147. Two stroke back from DeCola is freshman Ana Sanjuan who is tied for 46th at 149 (73-76).
Junior Sarah Dusman is tied for 56th, posting a 2-over 74 in round two after opening things with a 76 for a tally of 150. Competing as an individual, freshman Camille Chevalier is tied for 66th after rounds of 73 and 79 (152).
The 14-team field will wrap up play with an 18-hole round on Monday with a shotgun start beginning at 8:30 a.m. MT. You can follow the action live at www.GolfStat.com.
