Williams Named Big Ten Freshman of the Week

CHICAGO - Indiana freshman Troy Williams (Hampton, Va./Oak Hill Academy) averaged 17.0 points and 4.0 rebounds in games last week against Nebraska and No. 12 Michigan to earn the Big Ten Conference's Freshman of the Week honor on Monday.

Williams tallied 18 points on 7-of-12 shooting, including 2-of-2 on 3-point field goals, against Nebraska on Wednesday. He then followed that up with a 16 point effort on the road against the Wolverines, this time going 8-of-9 from the field.

The Hoosiers will open Big Ten Tournament play on Thursday as the No. 8 seed when they take on No. 9 seed Illinois at 12 p.m. ET on BTN.
