ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – Senior Kyla Buckley, the Big Ten Indoor Champion, finished in ninth-place in the shot put at the NCAA Indoor Championships Saturday.

Buckley had her best mark on her first throw of the competition with a mark of 16.34m (53-07.50).

Buckley, who had surgery on her throwing arm this fall finished 16^th at the NCAA Indoor Championships last year.

Up next the Hoosiers will compete at the 49er Classic in Charlotte, N.C. March 20-22.
