Volleyball Opens Spring Schedule Saturday

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The Indiana volleyball team will open its 2014 spring schedule this weekend when the Hoosiers head to Louisville, Ky. to compete in the KIVA/OVVC Spring Tournament on Saturday, March 29. The trip to Louisville will open as the first of four dates this spring, including two at the University Gym in Bloomington, Ind.
Indiana is slated to compete in four, best two-of-three set matches this Saturday at the Ohio Valley Volleyball Center. IU opens with Austin Peay at 9 a.m. ET. followed by Lipscomb at 10 a.m. and Memphis at 1 p.m. The Hoosiers close out the day with Western Kentucky at 2 p.m. All of those matches are set to take place on court four.
Indiana follows up the KIVA/OVVC Classic with a trip to Plainfield, Ind. to participate in the Circle City Spring Tournament on Saturday, April 5 before returning to Bloomington for a pair of home scrimmages.
The Hoosiers will host Purdue on Wednesday, April 9 for a 6 p.m. scrimmage at the University Gym before seeing Louisville on Saturday, April 12. The afternoon with the Cardinals will begin with wash drills at 10:30 a.m. followed by a 1 p.m. scrimmage.
Admission to all of Indiana’s matches this spring is free.
