BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The No. 35 Indiana women's tennis team hits the road for a pair of Big Ten matches this weekend as the Hoosiers will take on Wisconsin on Friday, March 28 at 4 p.m. ET and then on Sunday, March 30, will battle No. 63 Minnesota at 11 a.m.
Indiana (13-5, 1-2) is looking to bounce back from a tough setback on the road last week when then-No. 52 Illinois topped IU, 5-2. The Hoosiers have wins over four ranked opponents so far in 2014. This weekend will conclude a three-match road Big Ten swing for Indiana.
Wisconsin sits at 7-4 on the year with a 2-1 record in Big Ten play with conference wins over Nebraska and Iowa. Minnesota topped the Badgers earlier this year by a 4-3 margin. The Hoosiers took down UW a year ago in Bloomington, 7-0.
Minnesota holds a 13-3 record so far this season and is a perfect 3-0 in Big Ten matches with conference victories over Wisconsin, Iowa and Nebraska. The three losses that the Gophers have so far all have came from opponents who are currently ranked or were at one time this season. IU was also victorious over the Gophers a year ago in Bloomington, 6-1.
