All three Hoosiers will swim tonight in the 200 individual medley. Cody Miller finished one spot out of the championship final, taking ninth in a time of 1:42.27. That is the fourth-fastest time in IU history. Steve Schmuhl qualified 12th (1:43.19), with Eric Ress 15th (1:43.41).
A school-record time of 3:07.53 in the 400 medley relay for Ress, Miller, Max Irwin and Anze Tavcar put the Hoosiers in 12th place and into the consolation final tonight. That topped the old record of 3:07.98 set at the Big Ten Championships last month.
