Indiana Postgame Notes
• The Hoosiers shot 59.2 percent (29-49) from the floor in the game, the second-highest percentage of the season (62.7 vs. Kennesaw State). It is the highest in a Big Ten game since Jan. 15, 2011, when the Hoosiers connected on 67.4 percent (29-43) in Assembly Hall against Michigan.
• Indiana had three freshmen in the starting lineup (Davis, Williams, Robinson) - the eighth game this season with at least three freshmen starting.
• IU opened the game making their first nine shots of the game. With the game tied, 9-9 at the 16:15 mark, Indiana embarked on a 13-3 run to take 22-12 lead.
• By outrebounding Michigan, 26-25, the Hoosiers have equaled or outrebounded their opponent in 27 out of 31 games this season.
• Indiana assisted on 17 of their 29 made field goals in the game, their highest in Big Ten play this season. The Hoosier shave had 16 or more assists in three of the last four games
• For the ninth time this season, Indiana connected on 80 percent or more of its free throws (15-of-17, 88.2 percent).
• Ferrell went 4-of-8 from the 3-point line in the game, giving him 86 made triples this season, which is the second-most in a single-season in Indiana history. Steve Alford made 107 in the 1986-87 season. The total is also the most-ever by a sophomore at IU, topping the prevous high of 81 by Jay Edwards in 1987-88.
• In Big Ten play, Ferrell finishes with 51 made 3-point field goals, the third-most in a single season in IU history. The record is 54 by Alford in 1987 followed by Jay Edwards' 52 in 1988.
•Senior Will Sheehey led the Hoosiers with 17 points to go with three rebounds and two assists. He now has 1,107 career points to move into 38th on the career scoring list at Indiana - trailing Victor Oladipo by 10 points and Cody Zeller by 50 points for the next two spots on the list.
• Sophomore Kevin Yogi Ferrell tallied 16 points and matched his season high with eight assists (Nicholls State). It also ties his career high for assists in a Big Ten game after he also had eight assists against Minnesota on Jan. 12, 2013.
• Ferrell has 120 assist on the season after totaling 147 as a freshman. He is the first player since Isiah Thomas (1979-80 and 1980-81) to record 120 assists in each of his first two seasons at Indiana.
• Freshman Troy Williams continued his strong play of late, scoring 16 points on 8-of-9 shooting from the floor, including a number of high-flying dunks.
• Freshman Stanford Robinson was the fourth Hoosier in double figures with 13 points while also adding three rebounds and three assists in 29 minutes. Helping his point total was a 9-of-9 effort at the free throw line.
• Freshman Devin Davis, making his first career start, scored nine points and hauled in six rebounds in 25 minutes.
• Freshman Noah Vonleh had seven points and eight rebounds in 21 minutes off the bench after missing the previous two games with a foot injury.
• Sophomore Jeremy Hollowell tallied two points, one rebound and one assist in 10 minutes off the pine.
