Gerardot Helps USA All-Stars to Two Wins in China

SHENZHEN, China - Indiana's Tabitha Gerardot has played a big part in the NetScouts Basketball USA All-Stars getting off to a 2-0 start begin the nine-game tour of China with a group of 10 former women's basketball student-athletes from the United States. Gerardot has scored in double figures in wins over New Zealand and Denmark.
The Fort Wayne, Ind., native tallied a game-high tying 14 points in USA's 98-45 win over New Zealand on April 20. Gerardot scored 12 of her points in the first half to help the Americans to a 60-22 lead at the halftime break. She just missed a double-double performance as she added nine rebounds to go along with three assists, two steals and a block.
Team USA shot 50 percent (38-of-76) for the game while shooting 9-of-20 (45 percent) from beyond the arc. The USA squad assisted on 25 of the team's 38 made field goals.
In the second game of the tour against Denmark on April 21, Gerardot was instrumental in USA's 90-59 triumph over Denmark as she had 13 points, six rebounds and a steal. The Americans outrebounded Denmark 53-34 and shot 51 percent (34-of-67) from the field.
