Hoosiers Fall 4-1 Against Illinois

EAST LANSING, Mich. - The No. 10 seed Indiana men's tennis team's run ended in the quarterfinals of the Big Ten Tournament as they fell against No. 2 seed Illinois 4-1 on Friday.
Sophomores Sam Monette and Daniel Bednarczyk won at No. 1 doubles, but it wasn't enough as Illinois won at two and three to give them the doubles point.
Illinois (21-7) won two singles matches in straight sets to go up 3-0, before senior Dimitrije Tasic put the Hoosiers (16-17) on the board with a 6-3, 3-6, 6-1 victory at No. 4 singles.
Illinois would clinch the match at No. 1 singles with Jared Hiltzik defeating Monette 3-6, 7-6, 6-3.
