Hoosiers Close Spring with Win at Miami (Ohio)

OXFORD, Ohio - The Indiana field hockey team scored four unanswered goals in the second half to propel them to a 6-3 win over Miami (Ohio) on Friday.

Junior Audra Heilman put the Hoosiers up 1-0 early in the game, but the Red Hawks came back to score two goals to build a 2-1 lead.

Heilman would strike again to even the score at 2-2, but again Miami (Ohio) came back to score a goal right before the halftime break to take a 3-2 lead. 

The Hoosiers came out strong and focused in the second half and capitalized on scoring chances from a variety of players. The Hoosiers got goals from junior Nicole Volgraf, sophomore Karen Lorite and freshmen Morgan Dye and Hannah McDermott to take the 6-3 victory.
