Huntoon Named Coach for Commonwealth Games

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Indiana track & field associate head coach Jeff Huntoon has been named the jumps coach for Athletics Canada for the Commonwealth Games this summer.
Huntoon will travel to Scotland with the team in late July for the competition July 27-August 3.
IU alum Derek Drouin, who Huntoon coached at IU and now coaches professionally will compete in the Commonwealth Games.
The Commonwealth Games (formerly the British Empire Games (1930-1950), British Empire and Commonwealth Games (1954-1966), and British Commonwealth Games (1970-1974) is an international, multi-sport event involving athletes from the Commonwealth of Nations.
Although there are 53 members of the Commonwealth of Nations, 70 teams participate in the Commonwealth Games as a number of British overseas territories, Crown dependencies, and island states compete under their own flag.
