Hoosiers Split In Match Play at Liz Murphey Collegiate

ATHENS, Ga. - The Indiana women's golf team dropped its match against Iowa State but rebounded for a win vs. Georgetown at the Liz Murphey Collegiate at the UGA Golf Course in Athens, Ga.
Competing in the Red Bracket, Indiana will close tournament action with a match vs. host Georgia on Sunday. The teams will tee off at 8 a.m. ET from the 10th hole.
The Hoosiers dropped their opening match play round to Iowa State by a 4.5-0.5 score. Sophomore Maria Mancini picked up half a point in her match, finishing all square with Iowa State's Prima Thammaraks. Anna Sanjuan finished one stroke off opponent Carmen Vidau, while Sarah Dusman fell 8-and-7, Elizabeth Tong 4-and-3, and Kamryn Klawitter 6-and-4.
The Hoosiers came back in the second match of the day with a 3-0 win over Georgetown. Ana Sanjuan posted a 7-and-5 win over Alice Choi, followed by a 2-and-1 victory for Sarah Dusman. Maria Mancini clinched the win with a 2-and-1 victory over Jenny Xiao. At that point with the match decided Elizabeth Tong and Kamryn Klawitter halted play.
