Former Hoosiers Earn NBA All-Rookie Honors

BLOOMINGTON, Indiana - Two former Indiana University All-Americans were honored by the NBA today for their performances during their rookie seasons. Victor Oladipo of the Orlando Magic was a member of the first-team All-Rookie squad and Cody Zeller of the Charlotte Hornets (formerly Bobcats) was a second team All-Rookie choice.
Oladipo, who finished second in the Rookie of the Year voting, averaged 13.8 points, 4.1 rebounds, 4.1 assists and 1.6 steals. On December 3, 2013, Oladipo recorded his first triple-double with 26 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists in 52 minutes in a 126-125 double overtime loss to the Philadelphia 76ers. On February 21, 2014, Oladipo recorded a career high 14 assists, along with 30 points, nine rebounds and a steal, in a 129-121 double overtime victory over the New York Knicks. Oladipo was the No. 2 pick in the 2013 NBA Draft.
Zeller, played in all 82 games for the Bobcats, helping the Charlotte franchise to a significant improvement in wins and a berth in the NBA Playoffs. In 17.3 minutes per game, he averaged 6.0 points and 4.3 rebounds. He had a career-high 15 points and added eight rebounds on March 31, 2014 in a win against Washington. He also had his first career double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds in a 96-94 win over Cleveland. Zeller was the No. 4 pick of the 2013 NBA Draft.
