Hoosiers Add All-America Honors at NCAA Championships

EUGENE, Ore. – Senior Kyla Buckley and junior Rorey Hunter closed out the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships for the Indiana track & field team as each earned Second Team All-America honors.
Buckley, the indoor and outdoor Big Ten Champion this year, finished in 11th place in the shot put with a mark of 16.52m (54-2.5). Buckley competed in her fourth NCAA Championship meet.
Buckley earned the Hoosiers 23rd All-America honor in the shot put, while Hunter earned the program's 15th All-America honor in the 1500m run.
Hunter, the Big Ten Champion in the 1500m finished in ninth-place in the event as he crossed the finish line in 3:40.75, his second best 1500m time of the season. Hunter competed in the NCAA Indoor Championships as well and anchored the Hoosiers distance medley relay to a third-place finish.
