BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Seven current and former Hoosiers will travel to Sacramento, Calif., for the 2014 USA Outdoor Championships, Wednesday through Sunday at Hornet Stadium.
The shot put gets things started from the ground of the California State Capitol beginning at 1:00 p.m. ET. Three-time Big Ten Champion Kyla Buckley will compete in the women’s shot put and IU assistant coach and 2013 USA Indoor runner-up Cory Martin will compete in the men’s shot put.
On Thursday Molly Beckwith, 2014 Indoor 800m bronze medalist will compete in the event at 7:15 p.m. ET. Later that night 2014 World Indoor 4X400m Gold Medalist and World Record Holder Kind Butler will compete in the 400m dash at 9:05 p.m. ET. To close out Thursday night, IU alum and two-time All-American Sarah Pease will compete in the 3,000-meter steeplechase at 10:50 p.m. ET.
On Friday at 6:00 p.m. ET four-time All-American Jeff Coover will compete in the pole vault. Later at 9:22 p.m. ET 11-time All-American and NCAA 1500m Champion Andy Bayer will compete in the 3,000-meter steeplechase.
The 2014 USA Outdoor Track and Field Championships will be broadcast live from Sacramento, California Wednesday through Sunday, June 25-29 via multiple outlets. USATF.tv will provide daily online coverage. Universal Sports & NBC Sports Network will carry live television coverage Saturday & Sunday. Check local listings for the television coverage.
