Hoosier Alums Advance at USA Championships

SACRAMENTO, Calif. - Indiana track & field alums Molly Beckwith and Andy Bayer advanced to the final of their events at the USA Outdoor Championships on Friday.
Beckwith finished second in her heat of the 800m in 2:01.69 to advance to the eight person final, which will take place on Sunday at 4:30 p.m. ET.
Andy Bayer, running in only his second 3,000m steeplechase race ever, finished fourth in his section in 8:37.21 to qualify for the final, which will be contested on Sunday at 4:52 p.m. ET.
Tomorrow at the USA Championships, IU alum Sarah Pease will race in the final of the 3,000m steeplechase. Pease ran a career-best time of 9:48.94 in her semifinal heat.
Also competing on Sunday will be IU alum Jeff Coover in the men's pole vault competition, which will take place at 2:30 p.m. ET
