Kinnaird Advances to Final at World Junior Championships

EUGENE, Ore. – Freshman Tre’tez Kinnaird led from the beginning and won his heat in the 800m at the World Junior Championships on Saturday.

 

Kinnaird, the USA Junior Champion, crossed the finish line in 1:48.04 to win his heat and qualify for the final tomorrow. Kinnaird is just the third American since 1996 to make the final at the World Junior Championships.

 

Kinnaird will run tomorrow at 7:15 p.m. in the final of the 800m.
