GLASGOW, Scotland – IU alum Derek Drouin added to his impressive list of accomplishments as he won the gold medal in the high jump at the Commonwealth Games.
Drouin, the Bronze Medalist at the 2012 London Olympics, was the only athlete to clear 2.31m (7-7) in the competition. Drouin took three attempts at 2.37m, which would have been a Commonwealth Games record, but missed on each.
Drouin also captured the Bronze Medal at the 2013 World Championships. Earlier this season Drouin bettered his Canadian Record to 2.40m (7-10.5).
