BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – With the official start of the cross-country season tomorrow, it’s time to take a look back at the 2013-14 season for Indiana cross country and track and field.
The 2013-14 season was a memorable one for Indiana as they earned a Big Ten Championship in cross country, nine All-America honors, four Big Ten Championships event titles, one USATF Junior Championship, one Canadian Junior Championship, two school records and 45 times and marks in the top-10 in program history.

• Women’s Cross Country best finish at the NCAA Championships since 2002.
• IU alum Derek Drouin wins Bowerman Award
• Drouin won the Gold Medal in the high jump at the Commonwealth Games.
• IU alum Kind Butler was part of World Record and Gold Medal 4X400-meter relay at World Indoor Championships.
• Freshman Tre’tez Kinnaird won the 800m at the USATF Junior Championships.
• Kinnaird finished sixth at the IAAF World Junior Championships in 1:47.13, the second fastest time in school history.
• Freshman Danielle Quinn won the triple jump at the Canadian Junior Championships.

• Men’s distance medley relay earns All-America honors for sixth straight year with third-place finish at NCAA Indoor Championships.
• Men’s distance medley relay sets school record and fifth best collegiate all-time run (9:27.72).
• Senior Kelsie Ahbe sets school record in pole vault with second-place finish at NCAA Outdoor Championships.
• Senior Kyla Buckley wins Big Ten Championships in the shot put both indoors and outdoors and sets Big Ten Outdoor Championships record.
• Junior Rorey Hunter wins Big Ten 1500 title, making it four straight years the Hoosiers have had the men’s Big Ten champion at the outdoor championships.
• Freshman Tre’Tez Kinnaird runs 1:47.99 in the 800m, the top time for a Hoosier since 1988.
• Hoosiers earn 13 Big Ten Athlete of the Week honors.
• 27 Hoosiers earn Academic All-Big Ten honors.
• 9 Hoosiers earn USTFCCCA All-Academic honors.
