2014 Camp Roster
BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The Indiana football team opens 2014 preseason camp with its first practice on Monday afternoon. Head coach Kevin Wilson announced roster updates and released the team's 105-player camp roster on Monday morning. Eighty-one scholarship student-athletes and 24 walk-ons reported to Bloomington over Saturday and Sunday.
"We are coming off a very strong summer in which we made significant strides on the field, in the weight room and in the classroom," Wilson said. "That is a credit to our players, Coach Hill and our strength and conditioning staff, and our medical and academics teams. We enter camp with no health issues and in good academic standing. Having said that, it is time to take the positive strides we have made in all of those departments and translate it into success on the field. That begins today."
Redshirt freshman safety Kris Smith decided to leave the program at the beginning of summer workouts.
"We thank Kris for his contributions," Wilson said. "He leaves IU in good standing and we hope he finds success in the next phase of his career."
Signee Jermane Conyers will not be a part of the 2014 football team and will enroll at a junior college. He has not fulfilled the academic requirements needed to attend Indiana University at this time.
Wilson welcomed five new walk-ons to the program:

LB Owen Mattingly - New Albany, Ind./Providence H.S.
K Ben Rice - Noblesville, Ind./Noblesville H.S.
LB Ryan Watercutter - Fort Wayne, Ind./Bishop Dwenger H.S.
Wilson also announced additions to the 2014 coaching and support staffs:
